Behind the Lens

My journey as a Fine Art Nude Photographer creating work for Galleries, Art Collectors, and Commissions.
"What spirit is so empty and blind, that it cannot grasp the fact that
a human foot is more noble than the shoe
and the human skin more beautiful than the garment with which it is clothed."

You can be fully satisfied with where you are, understanding that you’re eternally evolving. When you get into that place of feeling appreciation of where you are and of who you are, and appreciation of what you are, and you accept that you are a never-ending, always unfolding Being, then you can stand in that delicate balance of being optimistic about what is to come, without being unhappy about where you stand. Find a way of eagerly anticipating future changes, while at the same time you are in love and satisfied with who, what, where and how you be.

Distance….

The past few months I clearly taken a step back from the nude - fine art to work on spring projects. With a breath of fresh life in the garden came new inspirations in other areas of life and business. All I can share is that I’ve felt completely happy with where I am in life and live in love everyday. I’m sharing this quote that clearly defines my state of mind in order to express my hearts love this very moment.

From Within
Here is a brand new image I created on Friday the 16th. Untitled and I’m not sure where this belongs on my website yet so I think I’ll just share via the blog for now.
I shot this in my very small office/studio here in Atlanta. It isn’t my first attempt at nude self portraiture, but I can say I haven’t really explored that area.I used my canon 30D and a 50mm lens and just barely made it into the frame. I’m really excited about the way this piece came out. It was inspired by another image I had seen a while back but I don’t remember the artist… sorry.

Update: Since this post I was able to find the source I mentioned. She is a wonderful photographer named Anca Cernoschi you can view her work and my inspiration here: http://ancacernoschi.blogspot.com/

There is nothing normal, there is only natural. Find what feels NATURAL to you. Follow that feeling and you will find LOVE, your love.

What’s your story? How do you define beauty, and where do you look for inspiration? Beautiful women…Go ahead, there’s nothing wrong with looking.
I am shooting flowers but took a break to find some fresh inspiration from some very pretty people. I use the female body in my work very often. To me it is a beautiful canvas with curves, detail, and stories to tell. I have a long story here before me. One that will take a lifetime to tell.

Dreaming in Purple. Purple alien foods photography.

“If I can create it” I ask myself, “what else might come of it?” ANYTHING ;)

So intensely I see imagery before my eyes. Like a kid who has just woken on her birthday excited for the day to begin. There’s so much to do and only so many hours to do them in. Forget the time, I’ll just allow my minds eye to create, and to play.

Mark Wallace answers the question, “How much should I charge?” one of the most common questions for emerging professional photographers.

I think it’s important to point out that just because you are new to the business and people might not know about you, NOT to work for free. Trust me, you’ll understand this more later on in your career.
