Behind the Lens

My journey as a Fine Art Nude Photographer creating work for Galleries, Art Collectors, and Commissions.

a human foot is more noble than the shoe
and the human skin more beautiful than the garment with which it is clothed."

They want to know from women, are you spiritual or sexual?People wonder about Solomon and all his wives. In the body of the world, they say, there’s a soul, and you are that. But we have ways within each other which will never be said by anyone.

This doesn’t have a title or a story that was dreamed up ahead of time. So I guess this is the product of my instinctive nature through movement and my play with texture.

IF  YOU  DON’T  STOP  THAT
I used to live in
A cramped house with confusion
And pain.

But then I met the Friend
And started getting drunk
And singing all
Night.

Confusion and pain
Started acting nasty,
Making threats,
With talk like this,

“If you don’t stop ‘that’—
All that fun—

We’re
Leaving.”

A woman, an artist, a female painter…
This image tells an important story, and perhaps the final story of this female painter. She has included herself as the main subject in her work.
Her passion a vibrant red, expressive and bold yet soft and romantic like the ways of a woman.

Nude self-portrait while staging my death scene in my home office/studio space last Sunday the 18th. Still exploring the new found world of self. I love these red flowers I bought for $1.50 There’s more to come so check back often.

From Within
Here is a brand new image I created on Friday the 16th. Untitled and I’m not sure where this belongs on my website yet so I think I’ll just share via the blog for now.
I shot this in my very small office/studio here in Atlanta. It isn’t my first attempt at nude self portraiture, but I can say I haven’t really explored that area.I used my canon 30D and a 50mm lens and just barely made it into the frame. I’m really excited about the way this piece came out. It was inspired by another image I had seen a while back but I don’t remember the artist… sorry.

Update: Since this post I was able to find the source I mentioned. She is a wonderful photographer named Anca Cernoschi you can view her work and my inspiration here: http://ancacernoschi.blogspot.com/

I still use a Canon 30D, and Photoshop CS3. I’ve had the same laptop for 6yrs, and I also just spent my last $20 entering this competition. Look what I can do with what I have. Vote for me and maybe I’ll win but more importantly maybe you will be inspired to dream big. I love what I do, thanks ;) http://bit.ly/uI7MVz

Great composers… Inspire.

I am always listening for the next great composer I run across by chance. Someone to add to the soundtrack of my life, and usually when I’m sitting in front of my computer working on the next project or editing like today. Immediately I felt a connection to La Genèse by Armand Amar. How amazing the way he can transform my most inner and private emotions into music. We all have our talents and it is extremely motivational to feel this connection.

Amar was born in Jerusalem 1953.[3] In 1968, he began playing the congas. He also practiced the tabla and the zarb in the following years.

In 1976 he met South African choreographer Peter Goss, who introduced him to dance. In the subsequent years, he worked with a number of choreographers in contemporary dance.

His works are focused particularly on the Eastern music. He is the author of several ballets and soundtracks films such as Get up and walkThe TrailIndigenousLive and BecomeThe First CryEarth from Heaven and Home. He has also collaborated twice with Costa Gavras, scoring Amen. and The Ax.

Now that you know some history, enjoy the video.

Change … an personal note.

Every time you think you’ve got it just right you find a reason to make it better.
